Contributor Bios

sarah adams is a senior History and English Literature major who
enjoys photography and writing. Sarah usually prefers to photograph inanimate
objects, but did branch out and photograph a pair of geese the other
day. Sarah’s other favortie pastimes include making awful puns, voluntarily
going to the movies alone, and watching bad recorder covers on YouTube.

laura bastian is a senior Spanish and Anthropology double major
from a small town in Pennsylvania called Turbotville. She studied abroad in
Lima, Peru for the Spring semester of 2017. When she graduates she plans
to study to get her certification to teach Spanish.

lauren beaver is a senior studying Strategic Communications with an
emphasis on Advertising and Marketing. During her Spring 2017 semester,
she had the pleasure of studying in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy.

richard berwind is a sophomore Creative Writing and English Literature
double major with a double minor in Publishing and Editing and
Theatre. In his free time, you can find him running across campus to get to
something, having an existential crisis, or knitting. While he doesn’t travel
that much due to a lack of his own car, he treats any travelling as an opportunity to learn about different people.

rachael blaine is a first-year student with dual majors in Creative
Writing and Publishing/Editing and a minor in the Honors Program. She
studied abroad in Hungary during her junior year of high school and spent
most of that time going to concerts and petting stray cats.

alan codner is a senior Creative Writing major, with minors in both
Spanish and Studio Art. These three things culminated in a semester studying
abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where he wrote and illustrated a simple
online comic about his time there. He also drank a lot of wine and did a lot
of skateboarding, but he left that part out.

hannah feustle is a senior Creative Writing and English double major
from Baldwin, MD. She studied abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia, in spring
2017. After graduation, she plans to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing.

amy jarvis is a first year Creative Writing major from Rhode Island.
She’s a lover of light, a poet, and by default, a hopeless romantic.

valeri lohrman is a senior Creative Writing major and songwriter
from southern New Jersey. Traveling and writing about places are what
make up the left centricle of her heart. She travelled to New Zealand for her
GO trip, and it changed her life.

morgan macvaugh is a junior Creative Writing major. She is currently
surrounded by Highland Coos in Scotland, and loving every minute of it.
She would like to give a huge thank you to her family, especially Mac, for
always being encouraging.

mikayla meyers is a 3rd-year Creative Writing, English Literature,
and Publishing & Editing major. She is from Frederick, Maryland and had
the pleasure of studying abroad for a semester in Dublin, Ireland. After
graduating, she would like to pursue hand book binding and book restoration.

caroline miller is a senior Creative Writing and Publishing & Editing
major who spent the summer of 2017 Instagramming baguettes in Aix-enProvence,
France. Her work has previously been published in Rivercraft.

tessa minicozzi is a junior double major in Political Science and
Communications with a Journalism Emphasis. She works on campus at
Charlie’s Coffeehouse and with the WQSU News Department. She studied
at the University of Stirling in Stirling, Scotland during the Fall 2017

kasondra perez is from La Habra California and is a first semester senior
at Susquehanna University. She plans on traveling to Aix en Provence
for six weeks this summer to study writing and the wine industry.

remy perez is a graphic design major from Danville, Pennsylvania,
who moved up from Miami when she was six years old. Aside from graphic
design, she enjoys engaging in fine arts, photography, music, and video
games. Remy loves to travel and has greatly enjoyed her time abroad in Tokyo
this past summer and her foreign exchange to Finland prior to college.
She hopes to travel more while still pursuing her passions in language,
travel, and the arts.

sarena pollock is a sophomore currently studying Creative Writing
and Sociology. She is the secretary of SU Slam Poetry, assistant editor of
an upcoming LGBT+ literary magazine on campus, and Flagship’s next
designer. As an aspiring writer and studio artist, she is also enhancing her
skills in photography, and took advantage of the beautiful landscapes in
Italy over her spring break of senior year of high school.

jessica nirvana ram is a senior Creative Writing major and Psychology
minor. She is from Queens, NY and then Royersford, PA and then
Selinsgrove, PA and soon to be, who knows where. Jess is a designer, performance
poet, memoirist, and photographer. She went abroad to Greece
for two weeks in the summer of 2017. Her photography has previously
been published in Rivercraft and Essay Magazine.

deon robinson, Class of 2020, is a Creative Writing major who spent
a week in Jamaica following his grandmother’s funeral. In his free time, he
draws in class and takes photos across the East Coast.

cara roets is a sophomore creative writing major with a minor in photography.
She traveled to Japan in December of 2017, and visited many
amazing places there, taking photos along the way. She hopes to continue
to contribute to the Flagship magazine again in the future.

katherine rogers is a senior Psychology major. She went abroad to
Stirling, Scotland, and hopes to visit again soon.
